September 2020

Sage celebrates her first birthday, outdoors.
Delicately rubbed the icing on her hands, as though it was a sugar scrub.

Big sister in the party hearty mode.

Llama Momma.

April 2020

Easter morning at a distance.
Pre-Covid, we would hide eggs for Gemma and this year,
looking at her via a photo in her bedroom.

March 2020

The day the world changed.
March 11, 2020, in Los Angeles at the Broad Museum with my son, Daniel.
As we soaked in the magnificence of Mark Bradford's work, hour by hour,
we were learning
of the reality of Covid19 and how real its effects were becoming.
Daniel to lose his job in hospitality, my friends to all start hunkering down,
ordering food in, not seeing the grandkids for nine weeks except
through a window puppet show....
And writing this seven months later, we are still in quarantine due to the pandemic.
Masks are the new normal.
Grateful to be able to stay healthy and see immediate family members when we like....praying for a massive change come November 2020.

February 2020

And it's good to remember the beauty of nature that is in our backyard
and to take the tie to admire it, soak it in.

January 2020
